Bygone School Days

Less all is to describe about school
Where we've hundreds of rule
Of which some are broken
And accept punishment as a token.

Learned to make a queue for prayer
And were taught to share and,
to weight and treat all with fair
Everything was in school's air.

A mansion where delinquent children
Bow down their heads and hands back
With cheeks, ears, nose converting red
And we utter, 'sorry teacher, it won't be repeated.'

Smelling loo of school where,
some choose better to conceal
For the fear of punishment terms
Inside planning for excuses to be made more and more.

When in school, there is a feel
like, behind the rail bars.
And those days once lost
We just wish to get back behind those...

Had I there been like, all time, all day
And with all zeal.

Soul: The Treasure Chest

My inner soul, I heard her say-
'what shameful act is this.. it's wastage of time'
Holding upon few seconds,
I didn't know what to speak.. to whom...

Quietness of my thoughts
Silence of my pain always
Do keep on haunting me
And get scattered on blank pages

I, then, arranged the beads
of those in sequence thinking,
I must bring them together and
preserve each thought Having Him

And chuckling at my grief
Eventually, I did realize-
       the grin of my lips
       the tear of my eyes
       the ointment of my woe
the warmth of his trustworthy palm
Is He and only He.

Heart Bleeds When Someone Smokes

Ever 've you did imagine about
Poisoning your chest and body
To death and putting lungs at risk
By sucking smoke and smoke only
Making contaminated your blood.

They whenever asked, speak of...
"It's cool to get smoke deep inside
It's being dangerous sick i know, but,
'm not addicted to it. It's quite normal."
Why not then Quit? What again makes you do?

For, you can't make your lips stop.
Oft'n I did play my voice in words
But. did find none there to lent me their ears
Forget not... Forget not my people
Atrocious it is to smoke.

No doubt you are accompanied
With tar, formaldehyde, cyanide, etc.
Those always, ahead of you
Does sound alarm many times
Warning to get free from being choked.

Careless you're instead being matured
And still, say with full arrogance
'Most responsible Being I'm and know
I better what 'm I doing and to do...'
I then, shut myself up

With criticizing smile for,
Arguing with those who
Themselves defend with heavy
Manly voice as if they,
Want not to accept the truth.

Think not they about closed ones
Perhaps do not they know
Not they, their near ones'll pay high
When you'll lit yourself completely
By lighting and puffing cigars.

Eyes of Mine whenever watch
My someone dear smoking
I do hear, realize, and believe
Of they dampening themselves
Which does make my Heart Bleed.

And I remain shouting only
Smoke Not... Smoke Not My People!

But Memories Always Remain.

Grown up to this extent
I oft'n put away from the Memory
That, I was brought up among common children
Of various heights and colors
Some tall and short
Had different mentalities and varied nature
I did play and laugh frantically
But Memories Always Remain.

Many became friends of Mine
Some turned foes with pretence as friends
And tried to trap me in some cases
Made me scapegoat and kept firing at back
And few friends of mine
Always showed path to overcome
And built passion within me when I get numb
But Memories Always Remain.

Everybody did take proper care of Mine
For being only child to my parents
taught to live delicate and arduous life
And to adjust and prevail in every situation
Sometimes I do hate the word most
Adjust... Adjust... Adjust...
I did obey their words
But Memories Always Remain.

Shifted from place to place
From Baripada to Cuttack
In amidst I've seen other places
I did change Schools and Colleges
From St.Annes' and Vimala Convent
To that of Ravenshaw and M.S.Law College
Which seemed to be Paradise of Mine
But Memories Always Remain.

I did study about Hiroshima and Nagasaki
Learned about Israel and Palestine
And some sombre attacks and havoc
May it be Kashmir, Afghanistan or Mumbai
Terrorists everywhere prevail
From sea to land and air
At every corners of the World
But Memories Always Remain.

"SPIRAL" The Rocking Group.

Spiral ! Spiral ! Spiral !
All here in are Exceptional
Together making their own Bases
Solving all their Cases

                 Swotting for luminous future
Imprinting in their Mind elder's Lectures
Move further and further in crooked ways
Walking hand in hand out of cages

Roving about shouting and gigling by
Under the trim bluish sky
At times in sultry noon
Getting hurry to go back home soon.

                 "Spiral" gang is bindaas
When they fly over and pass
With sudden sound of vehicle horns
Which breaks the tranquility the backfield earns.
